The AB Youth Softball summer "travel" program offers opportunities for girls interested in playing in a more competitive environment. Our goal is to offer opportunities for every age group starting from U10.
We form teams who compete in weekend tournaments or in the Middle Essex League.
The Middle Essex Softball League (https://www.usasoftballma.com/page/show/5743559-middleessex-league) <<NEW SITE. Season runs from the end of school to the beginning of August with 2 weeknight games per week against teams from other area towns. In essence, this is a “travel league”. The league is more competitive than town leagues and offers a good chance for girls to explore playing at a higher level. We focus on player development and having fun playing good softball.
Tournament teams generally form in the Fall and have training during the winter to keep skills sharp and prepare for the highly competitive nature of the tournament season. Tournaments occur on weekends starting in April and each team decides which and how many to participate in. Tournament teams are more competitive in nature than Middle Essex teams and are a good fit for girls who play or hope to play on their school team.
